The all-electric Volkswagen ID.7 has been named by Parkers as the UK’s best large family car.
Judges at Parkers said: “This is a well-deserved award for what is an astonishingly capable large fastback and estate, which does everything its size rivals do for considerably less money.”
The awards are based on hundreds of expert reviews by the Parkers team throughout the year, which is dedicated to offering the best advice and information to the car-buying public, whatever their budget or lifestyle.
The ID.7 – Volkswagen’s flagship electric car – has now won three awards since going on sale in the UK. In January it scooped a prestigious What Car? Safety Award and in June it was named Best Saloon by Autocar. It has also received the top score of five stars in the renowned Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme) safety test.
“We were all mightily impressed by the ID.7 when it was launched, and it’s great to see that authoritative experts from the automotive media are now showering the car with much-deserved praise and awards,” said Chris Starling, Product Marketing Manager for Volkswagen UK. “It’s clear that anyone in the market for a high-quality large family car need look no further than the ID.7. It simply ticks all the boxes: beautifully designed, great to drive, and packed with really practical and easy-to-use features and technology.”
The UK ID.7 line-up comprises the Pro, Pro S and sporty GTX 4MOTION, all available in both fastback and estate (Tourer) body styles. Maximum range is up to 436 miles (WLTP, for the ID.7 Pro S) and prices start at £51,550.00 (on-the-road manufacturer’s direct price including VAT)
